Connie Lauree McConkey

Connie McConkey passed away Tuesday, January 11th surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born September 30, 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Connie spent her childhood in Huskerville. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964 and received her Masters in Teaching From UNL in 1969.

Connie enjoyed teaching, family vacations, spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and holidays. She was also a Stephen Minister of Faith Lutheran Church.

Connie is survived by her husband Charles McConkey of Lincoln; her three sons Todd McConkey; Jeff (Amber) McConkey and Bryan (Melissa) McConkey; 2 grandchildren: Alexis and Grace McConkey; brother Gary (Arla) Vohnout.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19th at 10:00am at Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams Street, Lincoln, NE. Funeral service will follow starting at 11:00 am. Memorials can be made to the family. lincolnfh.com
