Bernard L. Clark, of Lincoln passed away February 15, 2015. He was born August 15, 1922 to Floyd and Jenny (Barber) Clark in Vesta, NE. He was a graduate of College View High School. Bernard served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Bernie worked at Elgin Watch Company in Lincoln until its closing; he then worked for his step brother Harry Von Dane at Lincoln Mattress Company; he later was self employed as an upholsterer, retiring in 1985. Bernie is survived by his wife, Carol (Harris) Clark; son Jeffrey C. (Shelly) Clark of Lincoln; grandson, Connor Clark of Omaha; granddaughters, Amber Clark and Carly Clark of Lincoln; cousins, Virgil Clark of Fremont and Margaret Clark of Perham, MN; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; baby brother, Melvin; older brother, Loyd Clark; step-brothers, Harry and Ralph Von Dane; and step-sisters, Evelyn Grieving and Leora Miller. A Celebration of Bernie’s Life will be at 11:30 AM Saturday February 21, 2015 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. No public viewing or visitation. Memorials in his memory may be directed to the donor’s choice.
