Alice was preceded in death by her parents Rose and William Wolesensky; brother Henry Wolesensky; and sister Wilma Rejcha.
She was born July 21, 1925 and raised on a farm in Dorchester, Nebraska. She graduated from Dorchester High School in 1942. Upon graduation, she attended Doane College in Crete and received her teaching certificate. For the next 3 years, she taught country school.
Alice met her husband, John, at a polka dance and they were married for 64 years. During their marriage, she worked as an accountant at Norden Laboratories in Lincoln for 30 years. She was a dedicated employee who rarely missed a day of work. After retirement from Norden Laboratories, she and her husband purchased a lakeside fishing resort in Ontario, Canada.
She had many passions including bowling, volleyball, fishing, golf and polka dancing. When the grandchildren came, she became a loving grandmother. Alice was an avid reader and a prized gardener.
A service and rosary for the family was held on December 31, 2018. Father Bernardo officiated at the funeral service. Memorials can be made to the family for charitable resignation at a later date.
Alice will be remembered for her kind-hearted, caring, and generous nature to all she knew. We will cherish our good memories of her.
