Thomas, known as Tom, was born in 1942 to Anthony and Margaret Fucci. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the eldest of 6 children. He enlisted in the US Air Force after high school, and served 4 years active duty, and 19 years active reserves. He met Nancy Calibro in 1965 at a military dance at Travis Air Force Base and they were married shortly after. They spent 58 years as Mr. and Mrs.
Tom is survived by his wife Nancy and three daughters, Janeen, Lynne and Shelly; 6 grandchildren: Alexander (31), Taylor (31), Ryan (30), Kenna (23), Emily (15) and Madalyn (11); three sisters, Joanne, Margaret, Maureen and his brother, Victor and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, mother, and younger sister, Kathleen.
Tom was a great dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the master of “dad jokes”. Right now, he would probably say, “The first 80 years are the hardest.” He loved to build and fix things and was always working on a project or two. He could fix a car, build a kitchen, and throw in a load of laundry all with amazing skill. Tom enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved family gatherings and could easily be the coaxed into participating in karaoke or silly dances. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Tom will be interred at the National Cemetary in Dixon, California on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM. All are invited to his home in Lincoln for lunch. His family hopes that you can make it. We hope to share stories and great memories.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.lincolnfuneralchapel.com for the Fucci family.
