Grandma, I have a lot of memories with you and to pick one is hard. One sweet memory I have was when you took me to Fort Sutter with my school in cottage hill. I felt so loved to have you with me and spend time with you. We stayed late and got rock candy and mined for extra gold. I will always cherish your love for your Grand-babies. My kiddos will miss their G-G-Ma-Ma. Love you

You are my mother, my best friend and my hero. I know I was never easy and often difficult but you loved me unconditionally . You always listened and tried to solve all my problem even when It was not welcomed. You  gave me everything I wanted and needed even if it wasn’t deserving. I am so proud that I got your strength  and your passion for family. 
I can share all my memories but they go on and on from making Christmas ornaments at the Christmas parties, Apple Hill trips in the fall,  girls birthday lunches on the Sundays or even wanting to talk about our Greek family. 
When I would ask you questions about them, you would light up because you were so proud .
My life will never be the same without you here on Earth with us. I will push forward and keep the traditions going with you in our hearts .
I am so thankful your are my mom, until we see each other again. 


One of my most found memories of grandma Julie was when we would have Christmas parties at my aunt Jeanette and uncle Jason's house. She would always make these cheesy bacon mashed potatoes and told everyone they couldn't have any until I got a serving first because she knew they were my favorite. She passed the recipe onto me when I moved to Reno so I could continue the tradition of making them every year on Christmas no matter where I was.  

Mom,  and I had some great adventures together, we rode motorcycles  together, went all over the place, mom also  called me every time when I was out and about, it’s like  she new i was out having fun and she wanted to know all about it, apple hill was also a big memory for us girls, loved doing it every year, she use to take us there as kids, I miss you mom! I love you so much!  Every day I think of you.

Julie will always hold a special place in my heart. As far as mothers-in-law go, I couldn't have been any luckier. She was always so thoughtful and caring. The way she doted over her grandkids really warmed my heart. She would do anything for them. The best memories I have of her are the times she, Jeannette, and I would do security at concerts. She loved music of all kinds and would try to sign us up for so many. It didn't matter the distance, she wanted to see it all. I loved how excited she would get! She even had a scrapbook she made for it! She always poured her heart and soul into everything she did. I will always admire that about her! She was a very special lady and will be missed greatly! My memory is short, only because she was my cousin. Her father was my Uncle. I was pretty young at my Uncle’s house in Montecito, she and my sister Debbie were close in age, and they both had to baby sit us twins all the time. I know she will be missed by all. We reconnected via FB, she loved reading about all my cutting horse stories.  It’s so sad she’s gone, and  our family keeps getting smaller. May she Rest In Peace, and we keep her close to our hearts. ♥️

I have two favorite memories of Julie. I remember one beautiful day Rick, Julie, Paul, Shelly, George and I all hopped on the bikes and took a beautiful drive through the Pines up to Chico and all around the back roads. Another day Rick, Julie, George and I rode to Santa Barbara. We crossed the Golden Gate at sunrise and road hwy 1 South. A beautiful day, sun shining all the way. 
You will be missed Julie and loved always.

Here are two memories that stand out for me that I was able to be a part of with Julie my cousin. First one was when I was very young I'm not sure how old but I remember Julie was babysitting me and it was the 4th of July. I can remember she loaded me up into the car and drove me down to the beach in Santa Barbara to watch the fireworks and I can remember being so excited to watch the fireworks show for the very first time in my life. Another memory was when my wife and I and a couple of friends all mounted our Harleys and wrote out too Grass valley to meet up with Rick and Julie and the rest of some of my relatives I have never met before. It was the one of the most memorable rides I've taken in my lifetime and we all had such a great time on the ride and then gathering at the fairgrounds after the ride for food and drink and some really good conversations. I will miss you forever my sweet cousin Julie and I will see you on the other side one day.

Grandma, 

You were my only grandma and you showed me the love a grandmother has for her grandchildren. You always made sure to tell me no matter what that you were proud of me. You made sure to always be there for every event of mine and my sisters.  You also made sure to pass that same love on to my children.

I will cherish the memories we shared, all of our trips to eagle lake and all of the events we had at your house. I will make sure my kids remember their great grandma and cherish the memories they made with you. 

I know this is not goodbye forever only until I see you again, but this has been one of hardest goodbyes. I will miss you and I love you. 

Many times over the last 13 years, I have considered myself so very lucky and blessed to have married into a family with an amazing grandma who welcomed and accepted me and always loved me as one of her own. Whenever I would see her, she would always greet with me a hug and a “hi sweetheart!”  Shortly after I married Eli, she invited me to go along with her and her daughters for their annual girls trip to Apple Hill. She loved to talk to me about how she went to Disneyland on her honeymoon and her youth in Santa Barbara since she knew I loved both of those two places.  She always shared her recipes with me and always seemed proud of my work.  One of the many things I loved about Grandma was how she always made sure to include me and made me feel like family. 

Some of my favorite memories include our trips to Apple Hill where we would indulge in all the apple treats and look at all the crafts.  She would get so excited picking out items that members of the family would love to give them for Christmas.

The love and care she had for everyone was clearly evident in all she did.  She wanted the best for all of us and had such a beautiful way of bringing peace.  She always wanted everyone to get along and to love each other, as life is too short for anything else.

Grandma, I will miss your cooking, your stories, the crafts you always wanted to do at Christmas, you laugh, and most of all your love and hugs. Thank you for everything and for loving me so much! I love you!


My Sister In-law Julie. 
We lost each other 40 plus years and as soon as you found me it seems you were gone. 
I have to remember though that this is only a temporary place and you've gone home and are now with your other loved ones. I just can't believe how short a time we have on this earth, a lifetime goes fast. 
My best memories are when we room mated in the mid 70s all of us and the kids. It was wild and challenging we were both recently going through heart break from our spouses. We laughed and cried together.
I'll miss you a lot Julie, you will always be my sister in mind, soul, and heart.

I had the honor of sharing the Gramma title with Julie. And then the Great Gramma title too.   Our kids got divorced but we Gramma’s didn’t. We always seemed to like the same things. Especially family, even when it was a bramble bush. Julie cared for people deeply and loved her family above all else. I know she loved harmony and wanted everyone to just get along. Remember that as you move forward kids. Love one another cause life is to short for hassles. 

You will be missedJulie.  But It’s  not goodbye. It is see you later. 

Some of my favorite childhood memories were playing with my brothers and cousins at Grandma’s house! I have so many memories there, and the common thread of them all was the love that Grandma had for our family, and it was felt anytime she was around.

I'll never forget waking up so early to the smell of Grandma cooking bacon and breakfast in the kitchen. I remember thinking “This is the best way to wake up. I wish all mornings were like this.” The only way it got better was when it was a Christmas morning at Grandma's. She loved to make it extra special. I think the reason those mornings were so memorable for me was that I knew I had a whole day ahead of me filled with fun times hanging with grandma.

Grandma’s love of people and animals made a big impression on me. I learned a lot from that. Anytime I got in a disagreement with one of my brothers, she was always the best person to talk to because she was fair, while also validating. You could tell she desired harmony.

Our times at Eagle Lake were unforgettable. I remember getting up early and staying up late. Long days filled with laughter, fun, and adventure. Fishing, shooting, riding around the lake… I know she loved having us on those trips as much as we loved being there. 

Grandma’s laugh was the best. I will miss it. I could hear her love in her laugh. She would always crack up at us kids being goofballs. We loved it so much that we made it a goal to get her to laugh often.

Many times I would help Grandma look for something in her office and end up getting distracted looking at old photos of my parents, her parents, and everyone else in our big family. She loved reminiscing and was proud of our family. I loved those times with her.

She had an unconditional love that made you feel like, no matter what, she would always love you. 

The list of things I love and will miss about Grandma could go on… As I reflect on these moments, more memories continually come back to me, and I will cherish them always...

Mama,
Most of my life's memories revolve around you. God blessed me when he chose you to be my mother. You stood by me and supported me and taught me the meaning of unconditional love. The camping trip to Tahoe, drive in movies, the homemade xmas stockings, and Apple Hill. Too many memories to put into words, and will cherish them always. My life will never be the same. I hope when my day comes it will be you there to greet me. Until we meet again. Love you Mama!

Grandma, you will be so so missed! I will always remember your greeting. A big kiss on the cheek! And your “Mama Odie” laugh was so contagious. You deeply cared about everyone around you and especially your kids and grandkids (and great grands!). Christmas will never be the same without you!
