
Franklin James Costa, age 65, of Lincoln, California, passed away on August 7, 2023 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on October 27, 1957, in Sacramento, California. Franklin was a well-loved and known for his firm and tenacious nature, yet also for his kindness, generosity, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Franklin is survived by his daughter, Stevi Eckhardt (Cole), his grandsons Bentley and Nixon, granddaughter Hailey and granddog Tig. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Costa II (Jennifer), sister Laurie Costa and sister Susan Costa Kollenberg (Rich). As well as nephews, nieces and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Costa and Mary Costa.
Franklin spent his elementary school years at Mary Beerman in Lincoln and St. Rose Catholic school in Roseville. He later attended and graduated from Lincoln High School. He dedicated his career to the construction field and worked as a heavy equipment operator.
In his free time, Franklin found joy in spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He cherished their company and created lasting memories with them. He also took a fierce interest in politics.
A celebration to honor Franklin's life will be held on Sunday, September 10, at the McBean Pavilion, starting at 11 am. Following the service, a lunch will be served. It will be a time for family, friends, and loved ones to gather and remember Franklin's life. Please join us in celebrating the life of Franklin and sharing memories with family and friends.
