He was born in Jamestown, California and spent his early years in Lorraine,
Oregon and then moved to Sandpoint, Idaho where he stayed until he was a

State University in Corvallis and also University of Oregon in Eugene. He
furthered his studies by attending Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland
where he earned his degree in Dentistry.
In 1964 he opened his dental practice in Gilroy, California where he remained
for the next 34 years. Chet was well known for his skills and expertise in the
dental field and was highly respected by his fellow dentists, employees and
patients. Giving people healthy, beautiful smiles was his career passion.
He loved to fish, hunt and golf and have a good time. He passed this on to all of
his boys. The friendships he developed through these activities and through
school years have endured a lifetime. Chet held his friends dear to his heart and
even up to the last day of his life was calling his pals and keeping in touch. He
had a great appreciation for his wife, their kids and grandkids. He showered
them all with love, adoration and a big dose of silliness to the very end.
He is most remembered for his big hearty laugh, his ability to bring laughs and
sunshine to everyone he met and his huge heart. Also his incredible work ethic,
intelligence and determination. He believed in giving it your all and then some
and be the best “you” possible. A great role model. He loved life and lived it to
the fullest. He will be truly missed by all who were graced by his presence.
