Diane E. (Clancy) Dorley, 61 of Lima passed away surrounded by her family at 5:44 a.m. Thursday morning, June 14, 2012 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1951 in Lima to Robert W. & Betty R. (Murphy) Clancy who preceded her in death. On November 21, 1970 she married Michael P. Dorley and he survives in Lima.
Diane was the cafeteria manager for St. Charles Elementary School cafeteria for 25 years. She was a 1969 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School , a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, a member of the Relay for Life ‘I’m Special’ team , Susan B. Komen Foundation, and a member of Habitat for Humanity. She loved life, adored her husband, her children and her grandchildren; and loved working in her garden.
Mrs. Dorley is survived by her children, Dan M. Dorley , Angie M. (Marc) Bowker , Doug A. Dorley all of Lima, and Mike C. Dorley of Dayton, Ohio. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Conner, Ethan and Kevin Bowker, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Colleen Campbell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, June18, 2012, at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Dave Ross as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
