I am saddened to hear of your passing Mike. 
One of your many Vietnam buddies.

After not knowing for so long, I drove to Loganville, only to be told of his passing by a neighbor, I knew it was coming but still, hit me like a ton of bricks. Can't accept that my best buddy is gone.
We were in the Army together, trained at Fort Gordon's Signal School early 1966,  after graduation, we both wound up in Vietnam , me at Nhatrang, Mike at Phu Cat.
When I was able to get a 3 day pass, I flew, rode and walked until I found him.
I came home after two Vietnam tours, my first stop was Sacramento Army Depot to visit Mike and Donna, we went to Lake Tahoe and then I came home. At $.06/mile, it paid for travel and covered me all the way home to Miami.
Mike would ride into Florida and camped in the Everglades, every time , he would call me and we had lunch at the Cracker Barrel.
He always found time to share quality time with all his friends.
It saddens me to no end, I will miss you, brother, forever.

I miss him every day, but am at peace knowing his suffering is over.  Prostrate cancer , three knee surgery operations and finally pancreatic cancer and chemo and radiation was more than enough suffering. 
A true man of God who went to his knees regularly to pray taking his burdens to our Lord.  
Now I know he rests in the loving arms of our precious God.  We will see each other  one day.  Praise to our God.

Thankful to have met Mike and become a part of his family. I’m thankful for his courage and his faith in Jesus that has assured his eternal salvation and know his sprit lives on forever in Christ, to God be the glory! My deepest condolences to my Mom and the rest of Mike’s family as we mourn his passing and wait for that Day where we will be reunited with him in Heaven. For God so loved Mike, for God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him, SHALL NOT PERISH but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Mike became a dear friend from High School. We would keep our Fords running. His a 56, mine a 55. We were both good mechanics but he was the best. Immediately became good friends, maybe best friends. He was one of the strongest and toughest guys I ever met. He never backed down from anything or anyone. He was also one of the kindest and most loving men you would ever meet. He loved life and loved people.

Crazy smart. He never had to study to succeed, he was that smart. He was humble when most would be tooting their on horns. Never seeking praise for himself even when it was due. 

Loved his family dearly. He was married three times and I must say that each and everyone was special. Children, grandchildren warmed his heart. Family was his rock. 

Our hearts are broken for ourselves. We know Mike is in Heaven. Probably sitting at a table with others enjoying the moment.

Mike was a family member and special friend of mine for many years. I will forever miss him and he will always be in my heart.

What heartache this passing brings.  
God brought us together in a most unique way in 2010.  We each shared a Cancer together in 2012.   We shared many trips all across the country and yearly trips to his beloved Everglades.  I came to know them and love them as he did. 
 He was unable to fulfill a dream...to  see a Florida panther in the wild,  as he had done in his young life.  We tried going out with him wearing night vision goggles...me only staring into the darkness.
All the Datona Bike Weeks, crazy as they were, are in my memory bank .     Not often does God grant one with such a pure lasting  friendship.  He shared with me immediately when he met Creta.  His confirmed bachelor days were over.  I was happy knowing God brought new happiness into his life.  I know it was a Godsend receiving her care during this Cancer.  We stayed in touch, so I was sadly aware of his journey.  I was prepared, but not ready. One never is, but so at peace knowing his suffering is over and he is forever in God's loving presence.   Farewell, sweet Mike.  Our loss is Heaven's gain.  He will forever be in my heart.

To our dear friend Mike, six years ago we moved into the neighborhood and met this wonderful man wo welcomed us into the neighbor. Who would have ever knew that for Ken and myself we would have become such good friends, who have shared good talks and a lot of laughter. We will miss you our dear friend and I know God has welcomed you I into heaven with open arms, (minus the Harley). With all of our love. Ken and Charlotte.

Mike was my neighbor and he was the most kind man. He was the first to welcome us. I will miss his kindness and generosity

What can one say about a person who has been a part of your life for 50 years. Not only time with him professionally, but many years during the hunting seasons. I loved him like a brother, and only wished I’d spent more time traveling with him in the last few years of his life.  Yes, we’d been through some bad times, lived through some sad times, but the Lord gave us some good times too.  Save a place for me my friend, I won’t be too far behind you.  John T
