Dorsey Eugene Wallace Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Dorsey “Doss” E. Wallace Sr. He passed away peacefully on August 9th, 2023.

He is survived by his three children, Laura Wallace Bramlett, Dorsey E. Wallace, Jr. and D. Palmer Wallace. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dian Wallace. He also cherished his time as G-Daddy to his two granddaughters, Hannah Wallace and Kelsey Bramlett.

Doss was a man who loved his family and valued family traditions. Born April 20th, 1948, he developed a love for cars at an early age and loved sharing this interest with others. He enjoyed going to car shows with his children and grandchildren and volunteered at several car shows throughout the years.

Doss’ impact extended beyond the boundaries of his family and home. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville, where he selflessly devoted his time as a deacon.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find solace in the cherished memories we shared with him. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched with the ability to always find humor in any situation. As we bid farewell, let us remember Dorsey E. Wallace Sr. for the remarkable man he was.

A graveside service to honor Doss’ life will be held on September 1, 2023 at 11:00am at Arlington Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating a life well-lived and paying tribute to the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America in Doss’ honor.
