Roger Wayne Overman

at The Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance - Caswell.

He loved hunting, fishing, sports especially the New York Yankees. He retired from Monarch Hosiery Mill, Inc. and attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, with Rev. Howard Spray officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 8

at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. and following the service at The Hut.

Roger was the son of the late John Ralph and Nellie Hinshaw Overman; and also preceded in death by his sister, Jenny O. Welch; brother, Larry “Bud” Overman; nephew, Scotty Overman and brother-in-law, Bobby N. Welch.

Surviving is his wife, Peggy Roach Overman; son, Gary L. Overman; daughter, Cathy J. Overman; brother, Jack D. Overman, wife Judy of Liberty, sister-in-law,

Jo G. Overman and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks go to the caring staff at Hospice Home of Alamance County, especially hospice home nurses Vicki and Crystal, and hospice aides, Jeanette and Erica.
