Bob was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and a beloved coach. He was a native of Spartanburg, SC; and a 1960 graduate of Catawba College where he met the love of his life, Ann Smith Loflin, they were married for 50 years. He began his career as a teacher and a coach at Liberty High School, and went on to own and operate Campus Concepts after retiring from Learning Environments. He was a member of the Liberty Rotary Club and a member of Grace Lutheran Church until he had to move his residence in 2016.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 146 S. Fayetteville Street, Liberty, NC; burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
He was the son of the late David Aaron and Eunice Robertson Cromer and was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Loflin Cromer and brothers, Roy and Troy Cromer.
Bob is survived by his children, Lisa Cromer Cheek (Steve), Chad Cromer, and Greg Cromer (Kimberly); grandchildren, Ryan Cheek, Samantha Cromer, Leah Cromer, Kailey Cromer Sykes, Madison Cromer; great-grandchildren, Austin and Avery Sykes; brother, Aaron Hewlett Cromer (Shelby).
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 146 S. Fayetteville Street, Liberty, NC 27298.
