Mrs. June Virginia Shaver Staley, 91, of Liberty passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Siler City Care and Rehab.
She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, dress making and her baby dolls.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene Dean and Rev. Bill Bigham officiating; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was the daughter of the late Albert and Maude Shaver and was also preceded in death by her husband, L. Worth Staley.
Surviving are her 10 children, Shirley Duncan-Hufstetler (James), Frances “Cissy” Manley, Johnny Staley, Jimmy Staley, Larry Staley (Edwina), Albert Staley, Linda Burgett (Allen), Judy Chamberlain (Frank), Marian Staley, Debra Hinshaw (Michael); 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Siler City Care and Rehab and Community Home Care and Hospice and to Lori Cobb for their kindness and loving care provided to Mrs. Staley.
