Brenda Annie Staley

Brenda loved her family very much, was faithful to her Lord and Savior and enjoyed helping others. She worked for Gregson Furniture, Liberty Chair Company and later went on to sit with elderly folks who had a need. Brenda was known for pitching in and working wherever she was needed.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4616 Liberty Grove Road, Liberty, NC with Pastor Jason Frank officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation and fellowship following the service in the church fellowship hall.

She was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mozelle Coble Staley and was also preceded in death by her son, James Darrell Kivett; brothers, Walter Wesley Staley, Oscar Staley and Bennie Staley; grandson-in-law, Kevin Brown; and special friend and companion, Gene Smith.

Left to cherish her memory is her granddaughter, Tenesa Kivett Hurley; grandson, Ryan Kivett (Lindsey); sister, Nancy York; brothers, Ricky Staley (Diane) and Randy Staley (Jill); sister-in-law, Patty Staley; daughter-in-law, Judy Kivett; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved four-legged companion, Tank.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Independent Baptist Church, PO Box 842, Liberty, NC 27298.
