Bonnie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be well remembered for her love for family and friends; a constant, hard-working caregiver. She retired from Gilmore Plant and Bulb after more than 30 years of service and spent as much time at the beach as she could.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eric Pace officiating; burial will follow the service at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Graham Wesley and Ella Mae Smith Hicks and was also preceded in death by her sons, Scott Ferree, Jr. and Gregory Ferree; and daughter-in-law, Dana Ferree.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leroy Scott Ferree; sons, Wesley Ferree, Craig Ferree and Roger Ferree; daughter-in-law, Rita Ferree; grandchildren, Matthew Ferree, Derek Ferree, and Hunter Ferree and his wife, Ida; and great-grandchildren, Alysa Ferree and Phillip Scott Ferree.
The family would like to give special thanks to their friends and family members who came to help and support them during Bonnie’s illness.
