William Eugene Pyle, 89, of Kansas City, passed away June 9, 2021 at North Care Hospice House. Memorial visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm and services at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 27th, all at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, MO 64068. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
William was born April 2, 1932 in Solomon, Kansas to William J. and Cloma (nee Kingsley) Pyle. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1951-1955 as a Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class. William worked for a variety of jobs before settling at Ford for over thirty years to enjoy over thirty years of pension paid retirement. His strong work ethic and speed ultimately resulted in his final position which mainly involved electrical repair. William enjoyed his farm properties with and without livestock. He was also very capable of working on cars for himself and his family. Throughout his life, he enjoyed making improvements to his properties with new construction and upgrades.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cloma Pyle; his wife, Marian Pyle; his brothers, Robert and Donald Pyle; his step-daughter, Kelly Bateman; his sister-in-law, Anita Pyle; and his brother-in-law, Richard Shaffer.
William is survived by his sister, Jean Shaffer; his sister-in-law, Margaret Pyle; his sons, William E. Pyle, Jr. (Sharon), and Kevin Pyle; his step-daughter, Trish Bateman; his grandchildren, Nicholas Bateman (Meghan), Nicholle Pyle, and Brittanie Pyle; and his great-grandchildren, James Gumm, IV and Averie Gumm, multiple nieces and nephews, other relatives, close friends and neighbors.
