Terry (Rothering) Mauer went home to rejoin her beloved soul-mate on October 6, 2024. A visitation with a Rosary will be from 1:00-2:00pm, Tuesday, October 15th at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home, 2115 Maturana Drive, Liberty, Missouri 64068. A Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Mercy. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery North. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Our Lady of Mercy or Catholic Communities Hospice.
Terry was born September 10, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert and Ann Rothering. She loved teaching, especially the Catholic faith. Terry had taught at St. Raphael’s and St. James as well as in Liberty Public Schools for several years. She also taught formation classes for the Third Order Carmelites. She was a member at St. James Church.
Preceding her in death was her soul-mate and spouse, Jacob, and her precious son, Michael, both in 2010; her parents, Robert and Ann Rothering; and her siblings, Michael Rothering, and Suzie Crocker.
Surviving her are her daughter, Anne-Marie Luna and husband Fernando of Westwood, Kansas; and grandchildren, Anjelica Luna and fiancé Justin Pyle, Elise Mauer Gill and husband Jon, and Hunter Mauer; her brother-in-law, Harry Crocker; and a large extended family and many loving friends.
