Lou Alfred Rittersbacher, 75, of Liberty, Missouri passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on November 18, 2024. Lou was born to Ethelyn Mae (Gallie) and Frank Seward Rittersbacher on June 1, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. He married Mary Lee Barlette on June 9, 1972, and together they had two children, Sara and Andrew.
Lou completed a bachelor’s degree and served in the United States Army, where he played French Horn with the 371st Army Band, among other duties. He also won a National Defense Service Medal during his time in the military. After his service, he entered the plastics manufacturing industry. He greatly enjoyed the variety of jobs he held over the years, but his favorite was as a quality control manager.
Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Ethelyn and Frank. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Sara Ragle (Chris); his son, Andrew Rittersbacher; and his grandson, Marlin Ragle. He will be missed early by everyone who knew him.
