He joined his siblings Robert Fields, Michael Fields, Marla Renee Smith, Audra D. Smith, George Wayne Smith Jr., Myron D. Smith, and Sonya Smith. Through his journey in life, he attended Liberty Public Schools and graduating from Liberty High School. After graduation, his career paths included working at Guys Foods, Menco Royal, Sutherland Lumber Co., and his dream job being at Piston Automotives, which he cherished and was employed by for 12 years, at the time of his passing.
Barry was a family man. He loved his family and his family loved him. He was an avid fisherman, good cook, loved NASCAR, fantasy football, family gatherings, and he could accomplish any task presented to him without any formal training.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents. His brothers; Robert and Michael Fields, and Myron Smith. His grandparents; Robert (Dora) Iowa, Charles (Geri) Fields, Beatrice Bloss, and great grandfather, Perry Samuels.
He is survived by brother George W. Smith Jr., (Tammie) of Centerton, AR, sisters; Marla R. Smith, Audra D. Smith (Geo Marley), and Sonya S. Smith of Liberty. Nephews Aaron M. Smith (Carrie) and children, DeMarcus D. Smith (Rachelle) and children, Joshua Alisma, Anthony Groves of Washington State, and Avery Smith (Tatum and Adley) of Centerton, AR. Nieces; LaTrenda J. Smith and children, and Jasmine Smith Marley. Special Brother; James Pat Dodd. Sister-in-law: Jaynora Carter, The cook and Redman Families of St. Joseph, MO, and the Grayson Family of Plattsburg, MO.
His Piston Automotive family whom he cherished and a host of other family members and friends.
Barry’s home going graveside service will be May 2, 2020 by SPECIAL INVITATION ONLY due to the Covid-19 virus. The family plans on a Celebration of Life at a later date when more people are allowed to attend.
