LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Winfred L. Powell, 89, of Lexington, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Powell was born on December 27, 1923 in Miamisburg, OH. to the late Lester Ernest Kuhn and Lovey Lucille Kline. She passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Winfred was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Everything she did was for those she loved. She was caring, and nurturing. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 71 years, Ernest J. Powell; daughter, Judith Gallagher; sister, Mary Weller; brother, Ernest D. Kuhn(Marilyn); grandchildren, Candace Carrier (Donald), Elizabeth Donato (Louis), Joshua Powell, Aaron Gallagher, August Gallagher (Christina), Adrienne Arnold, Greg Sizelove, Kevin Sizelove and Lynnette Woodford, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Carolyn K. Powell and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by her beloved son, Stephen J. Powell.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Micheal, Dakota, Stormi, Carolyn, Sue and Jaidyn for the love and care given to Winifred.
