LEXINGTON – Terry A. Sexe, 70, was born February 19, 1950 in St. Peter, MN and passed away at home after a short illness on Friday, March 27, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with a reception to follow. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
Terry married the love of his life, Linda, on June 15, 1970 and together they had three beautiful children and seven grandchildren. He passionately served in the US Navy for 22 years and, after retiring, he went on to work another 20 years as a government contracted employee at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. He and Linda loved the life the Navy provided, allowing them to live in Washington State, Naples, Italy and Sicily. He spent the majority of his years in Jacksonville, FL where he and Linda raised their family. He also was deployed on the USS Kennedy and USS Coral Sea.
Terry enjoyed coaching little league baseball, YMCA basketball, and pop warner football. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching his grandsons play sports and his granddaughter dance. We take peace knowing he is in his eternal home in Heaven and that we will join him there one day.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sexe of almost 50 years; three children, Tony (Tressa) of Lonsdale, MN, Alison (Ross) of Lexington, SC, Danny of Fleming Island, FL; seven grandchildren, Justin, Zachary, Tyler, Sydney, Cameron, Joshua and Jacob; siblings, Jim (Carole) Sexe, Tom (Bev) Sexe, Dave (Sharon) Sexe, Susan (Fred) Roufs, Bill (LeAnn) Sexe, Mike (Gail) Sexe, Mary (Dave) Hage, Pat (Lee) Sexe, Andy (Shannon) Sexe, Ed (Kendra) Sexe, Peter (Michelle) Sexe; sister-in-law, Pam Goerges and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Evelyn Sexe; his son-in-law, Ross Myers and his mother and father-in-law, Dale and Helen Dickie.
