LEXINGTON – Michael “Mike” James McLeod, 42, of Lexington passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012. He was born on March 25, 1970 in Columbia, SC to Jim and Linda McLeod. He was the grandson of the late Bill and Daisy McLeod and A. D. and Lucy Luckey of Sumter, SC.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Linda McLeod of Lexington; his son, Cody Sutton of Columbia; a sister, Lori Harmon (Eric) and their children, Kenneth and Noah of Lexington; uncle, Dr. A. David Luckey (Charline) of Augusta, GA; aunt, Mildred Norsworthy of Sumter; cousins, Alan Luckey and his daughter, Kristy Reiner, Bryan Luckey (Kim) and their daughter, Taylor of Augusta, Lea Norsworthy of Sumter and great aunts, Betty Taylor (Norm) and Marjorie Luckey of Harlem, GA.

Mike was a 1988 graduate of Lexington High School. He attended USC-Aiken and was an avid Gamecock fan. He excelled in all types of sports and played on his high school golf team. Mike loved any water sports with his family and many friends. He was a successful salesman and always enjoyed working with people. Mike worked for Rock N Roll Auto Sales.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Lexington Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hamilton and Dan Williams officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Park, 809 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter, SC. The family will receive visitors and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
