Ms. Sketo worked at Case Plants and Wolfe Nursery. She loved working with plants and flowers. Her loyalty always remained with God and her family. Always there to lend a hand, eager to help, and serve. Never judging, always loving. Her gift of love was an example of the Grace of God.
She is survived by her husband, William Sketo; daughters, Debbie Capps, Darla Williams, Shasta Mengedoht, Sabra Fox, and Shonda Goins; sons, Jackson “Glenn” Goins and Destin Goins; step children, Cindy Goins and Virgil Goins; sister, Mildred Jones; brother, James Pate; sister-in-law, Frances Mccutcheon; a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great-great grandchild.
She was predeceased by brothers, Joe “Buck” Mccutcheon and Luther “Luke” Mccutcheon; sisters, Mary-Jane David and Judy Woods; granddaughter, Jackie Hornsby and grandson, Charles Mengedoht.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14 at the funeral home.
