Libby graduated from Gilbert High School in 1951. She went on to retire from Bell South after 30 years. She was awarded Woman of the Year in 2011 where she served as head Deaconess at Columbia First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Libby was the loving wife of Merle Clevenger and mother of two children.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Boltin and her husband, Randy; son, Gary Clevenger and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Aaron Clevenger and Hannah Clevenger; and sisters, Gladys Clamp and her husband, Wayne, and Shelba Chicoine.
She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Merle C. Clevenger.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August, 20, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Columbia First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 243 Riverchase Way, Lexington, SC 29072. A burial will follow the service at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC 29072.
