I wish to express my sympathy to the family of Karen. Those of us experiencing such a loss n
know the pain. Just remember that God is near to those that are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit.

I just heard about this a few minutes ago and am so shocked and sad.  My heart goes out to the rest of the family.  We are second cousins.

I am sorry to see that Karen has passed away.  The Glendale gang was remembering, fondly, all of our wonderful friends. My prayers go out to the family.

I was a good friend of Karens older sister Sandra. We grew up in same neighborhood, lost touch after high school. I love all her family spent many days in and out of their home. Karen was always around with her smiling face as was sister Marilyn. I'm so sorry for y'all's lost. I have thought about you all often with much love.

Heaven has just received another Angel.  Karen Marie was one of the sweetest I have ever known.  I can still recall some of our conversations as she would drive me to school at Greenwood on her way into work.  Steve, your mom was one in a million & I know how proud she was of the young man you have become. You are in my thoughts & prayers.  I am always here for you. I had the pleasure of working with Karen at the South Carolina Department of Education. She was a very caring person and her smile would light up the room. I am delighted our paths crossed. She will be missed.

Karen was such a delightful person to work with at the SCDE. She was always available to help a novice like me with any computer problem that I would have and I have never forgotten her sweet spirit and lovely smile. She always had time for others and always made you feel good!

Karen was in my first year study group at Southern Wesleyan Univ and inspired me to excel more than I even thought possible. Her positive attitude and energy were a driving force.  I was saddened to run across her obit in the newspaper. Only then did I realize we shared the same birthday only a year apart. My deepest condolences to Karen's family,

Karen was always a joy to work with and for.  I always looked forward to our lunch at Carolina Cafe or Rolly Polly and our time to talk about life, family, and friendships.  We will always love you.

At work, I always felt I was in good hands whenever I needed technical support from Karen. She encouraged and uplifted others. She is missed.

We cross paths with few people who leave indelible marks on our lives.
Karen was such a person. Her positive attitude even in the toughest times helped many to make it through the day. It was a blessing to be a part of her work-a-day world and to benefit from her many God-given gifts and talents. I am very thankful for the footprints she left on our hearts.

I enjoyed working with Karen at the Dept. of Education.  Her beautiful smile and loving spirit will never be forgotten.

A Beautiful Soul....Karen was my dear friend for over 15 years.  I can't begin to say enough about this dear person.  Through all of our wonderful times and trips together she inspired me to enjoy each moment as much as possible and live each day with purpose and appreciation.  Her passing has reminded me of this.  I miss her already but I know I will see her smiling face again.  God be with the entire family who loved Karen and are missing her, especially you Ralph, and know that He who can take away all pain will comfort you and give you strength to get through this.....Our Love,

Karen was an angel on earth.  She always had a smile to offer, an ear to listen, and a hug when needed.  The world was a better place because of Karen and I am fortunate that I knew her. She will truly be missed.

I only knew Karen for a short time while working with her at the Dept of Education.  Karen was a kind and caring person from what o knew of her.  I ran into her at a store very recently while out shopping and she was very cheerful,  smiling and very talkative.  If you would have met her at the same time, you would have no idea she was dealing with so much. Such a beautiful spirit!! She will be missed by so many!!
