James K Calhoon

JAMES KURT CALHOON- LEXINGTON - A memorial service for James "Kurt" Calhoon, born in Tallahassee, FL on May 29, 1959 and passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011 will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington,Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Calhoon was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.A. degree in Political Science and then later became the owner of Metro Tile Co. a family owned and operated business. He was an avid sportsman and a devoted father and grandfather. The love for his family and the outdoors kept him motivated and on a positive note even despite his illness.

Mr. Calhoon is survived by his mother, Sandra M. Calhoon; daughters, Ashley Ferrell Sims (Blair), Sandra Lee Calhoon; granddaughters, Aubrey L. Ferrell and Maisy M. Sims; brother, Mark R. Calhoon, and his Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Fay Mosley. He was predeceased by his father, Jimmy R. Calhoon; son, James Ian Calhoon and grandparents.
