He was the youngest of 12 children, nine boys and three girls. Eight of the boys grew up to serve in the United States Military. He was a proud retiree of the U.S. Navy, where he served 24 years. He was also a Vietnam Veteran.
Jack was a very humble man with a lot of wisdom and integrity. Those that were lucky enough to know him, loved him. He would do anything he could to help someone out. He was definitely a “Jack of all trades”.
He was married for over 60 wonderful years to Janice, his much loved and devoted wife. She stood by his side proudly and loved him with her whole heart. Their love will bring them together in Heaven again one day. Together they raised two children, Jeff and Lisa. Jack had a very special bond with his children and his children loved him dearly and will love him for all eternity. He was and will always be his daughter’s hero.
He leaves behind a family that will miss him greatly but hope to one day reunite in a much better and happier place. Along with his wife, Janice, and his children, Jeff Holt (Nancy) and Lisa Swartz, he leaves behind his grandchildren, Ashley Green (Richard), Jacob Holt (Ashley), Nicholas Holt (Melany), Joshua Holt, Sarah Holt, Samantha Borer (Bart), and baby Olivia Borer, along with many nieces and nephews that thought the world of “Uncle Jack”. He was predeceased by his parents, all his siblings, and his son-in-law, Bill Swartz.
He will be greatly missed.
