Greg was born in Detroit, Michigan to Richard and Peggy Stowers. He graduated from Irmo High School in 1975 and attended Midlands Technical College. He married the love of his life, Sybil in 1985 and began life with her and daughter, Michelle. He was employed with Lee Transport Equipment Company for 34 years. Greg was a member of Cornerstone Church, a Master Mason, Boyleston Lodge #123, Ballentine, and a Brother of the Scottish Rites.
Greg is survived by his wife, Sybil and daughter, Michelle Bumgarner (Perry) of Lexington; granddaughter, Kayla Sligh; grandson, Christian Sligh; granddaughters, Hannah and Jordan Bumgarner; and grandson, Trip Bumgarner (Lysandra). He is also survived by his brothers, Richard and Scott Stowers (Shari); stepmother, Georgia Seeman (Robert); as well as many other beloved relatives.
Greg was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Sharon Snipes.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
