Dianne C Cauley Ready

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Dianne C. Ready, 66, of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dianne was born September 3, 1948 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Dorothy Cauley. She spent years living in Alabama, Maryland, and Chicago. At each stop along the way, she made life-long friends.

Dianne was a wonderful, kind-hearted, loving mother, wife, Mimi and fun-loving friend to all. She loved gardening, flowers, and birds and loved to read. She loved boating and fishing on Lake Murray and had an eye for interior design. She was an exceptional cook whose food brought comfort to many. She was a passionate Republican who volunteered many hours on campaigns and worked at the Maryland State House. She loved God and found peace in His word. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren and was a wonderful caretaker to her family.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Robert Ready of Columbia; daughter, Tresa Holley (William) of Virginia; son, Bobby Ready (Annette) of Maryland; daughter, Natalie Gray(Chad) of Maryland; grandchildren, Diana, Robert Ready, III, Wyatt and Levi Gray; sisters, Linda Kirspel and Lydia Cauley; brothers, Buddy Cauley (Jackie), Carey Cauley (Pat) and Paul Cauley (Judy); sister-in-law, Carol Ready and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed all the day of our lives.
