FREEPORT---Roland A. Nadeau, 79, formerly of Auburn, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Hawthorne House nursing home in Freeport. He was born in Auburn, ME on June 28, 1934 the son of the late Albert and Sylvia (Frechette) Nadeau. He grew up in the Lewiston / Auburn area and attended local schools there. He was a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, class of 1952. Roland worked for Billing Shoe for many years in hand sewing. He also worked for several years for Geiger Bros. in the photography department until his retirement in 1986. He is survived by many cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday February 20, 2014 from 9:30am-10:30am at the funeral home in Lewiston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 11am at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston. Per Roland’s request, in lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in his memory to a charity of their choice.
