LEWISTON: Rita J. Beaudoin, 80, of 140 Ash St. Lewiston, passed away peacefully Friday May 31, 2013 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on July 21, 1932 a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Yvonne (Roy) Fontaine. She grew up in the Lewiston area and attended St. Mary’s school in Lewiston. On August 9, 1952, Rita married her first husband Alfred Latuscha and together they raised six children. Rita gained much self-satisfaction as a CNA for St. Mary’s, helping people for over 34 years. On August 22, 1978, she married her second husband, Lionel Beaudoin. Rita loved playing cards and the dice game on Tuesday nights with family. She was an avid BINGO player, enjoyed going to OOB, solving puzzles and word searches She especially loved spending time with her family as her family was everything to her. If you were going out to lunch, you might often find her at one of her two favorite places to eat: Simones Hotdogs or Edward’s. Her true passion was being able to nurse others back to health. She will always be remembered for her unbelievable strength to overcome the many trials of life. Rita is survived by her six children; Linda Boucher and her husband Claude of Lewiston, Diann Akerley and her husband Scott of Lewiston, Janis Sylvester and her husband David of Greene, John Latuscha and his wife Anne of Lewiston, Carol Latuscha of Lewiston and Robert Latuscha and his wife Annie of Lewiston. She also leaves behind her brother Robert Fontaine and her sister Joan Baril and her husband Pierre, all of Lewiston as well as 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Alfred Latuscha, her second husband Lionel Beaudoin, a sister Yvette Latuscha, a brother Normand Fontaine and two granddaughters, Nicole and Brianna Latuscha. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 6, 2013 at 11am at The Fortin Group Funeral Home\Lewiston followed by a committal service at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewistion.
