He attended Chisholm and Lewiston schools and graduated from Bliss Business College and also served in the US Air Force. In 1950 he married Therese Bourgoin at St. Peter’s Basilica and they enjoyed 70 years of togetherness.
Dick was a member of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Union and went on to teach his trade at CMVTI and Deering High School in Portland. He was also a member at Holy Family church and the Knights of Columbus. In the early years the family belonged to the Lewiston/Auburn Skating club. Dick and Therese enjoyed many years with the Country Side dancers, and as a family enjoyed many activities gatherings and celebrations.
He is survived by his wife, Therese, three daughters, Diane Perron, Denise Hebert, Joline Asselin, a son Richard W. Perron Jr. and his wife Katherine. Nine grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren. Predeceased by sons Jean and Joseph Perron, his parents and his sister, Bernadette Kenney. The family extends their deepest appreciation and many thanks for the excellent and loving care of Richard to The Lamp Memory Care Center staff and Beacon Hospice House.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hospice House and The Lamp Memory Care Center.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 25th at 1pm at Holy Family Church with a committal to follow for immediate family only.
