Auburn - Patricia Christine (Fortin) Anctil 65, of 11 Mountview Terrace, Lewiston, died Friday July 20, 2012 at Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice with her husband and son Scott at her side. Born in Lewiston, August 26, 1946 the daughter of the late Roland G. and Anne Zarkowsky Fortin, she graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1964. Patty was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church and worked in her early years at Depositors Trust Bank till she had her children, then became a housewife. She was also a member of The Maine A-Typical Parkinson Assoc in Falmouth, The Lewy Body Dementia Assoc, and The Pine Tree Gypsies R.V.Club. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, camping in their R.V., traveling to her daughter's home in S.C, and to her nieces & nephew in Nashville, and doing crosswords puzzles, watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Patty will be remembered for spoiling her nieces & nephews who lived next door, and caring for the neighbor's children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Lionel (Nel) Anctil of Lewiston, whom she married April 22, 1967, her daughter Christine Garner and husband Patrick of Simpsonville, SC, her son Scott Anctil and his wife Lisa of Lewiston, her grandchildren Partrick, Jessie and Tessa Garner, Emily and Tanner Anctil, her brother Roland R. Fortin Jr. of Lewiston, her brother and sister-in-law Roland and Pauline Cote, Robert & Donna Anctil. She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Adrien and Alberta Roux Anctil and her sister-in-law Gertrude Drapeau. The family wishes to thank the Androscoggin Hospice House, Dr. Austin, and the entire staff who are all ANGELS, The Androscoggin Home Hospice Staff, especially Michelle Hawkins, Home Aide, Kathleen Langelier, RN, Kathy Moore MSW, Chaplin Elaine Armstrong and Don Labranche, volunteer. Special Thanks to Lise Vincent, personal Care Giver who took care of Patty at our home, 3 days a week for the past month. Sky-Hy Adult Day Care Center in Topsham who gave her Special Loving care for 3 years and United Wheel Chair Transport drivers who also gave her loving care. Msgr. Caron, Fr. Albert Roux, Sister Yvonne and Sister Rene for their visits. Dr. William Stamey, Neurologist at Mid Coast Hosp Neurology Center in Brunswick, for his special care, and Dr Isaac at St. Mary's for getting us through the rough times. Visitation Fortin/Lewiston Monday 6 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church Tuesday 11:00 am.
