Muriel was born in Lewiston to the parents of Sarah Olko and Regent Fortin. She married Lionel Violette on June 1st of 1947. She was a mother to four children: David, Nancy, Susan, and Ann Violette. She was an active member of Saint Patrick’s church and a member of the choir that was invited to sing at the Vatican, which was a thrill for her.
She is predeceased by her husband Lionel, son David, daughter Nancy, and son in law Stephen Couture.
She is survived by her daughters Susan and Ann, sister Lorraine, grand-daughter Sarah Couture, and nieces Donna and Elaine, and lifelong friend Muriel Webber.

Visitation for Muriel will take place on Saturday, September 14th from 9AM to 11AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12PM at Holy Family Church. Committal Prayers will take place after at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine.
