Lewiston – This comes with a very heavy broken heart, on November 11, 2023 my husband Kevin Robert Leighton of 39 years passed away at CMMC very suddenly. He was such an amazing man who truly loved his family with all of his heart. He will be missed more than life itself. He was employed at Butler Bros. for 6 years as a warehouse worker. He truly enjoyed working with Nate Jordan and all the (joking around) as well as Greg and Tina. We can’t say enough about Butler Bros. and all their love and support.
Kevin loved being home watching football, nature, and especially history. His true joy was his little peanut Josephine Morin. His eyes would light up talking about her with so much love. His little fishing buddy, always bringing her home special surprises. He was my night and shining armor, my sailor squid, my one and only forever soul mate. I never forgot the day he showed up at my home in complete Navy uniform, it was a slam dunk true love. The following November 2, 1984 we were married. Two beautiful children later what a beautiful life he gave us.
He is survived by his wife Penny Leighton of Turner, one daughter Heather Morin of Turner, one son Nicholas Leighton of Turner, granddaughter Josephine Morin (Peanut) of Turner, a sister Carol Goyette and husband David Goyette of New Gloucester, two other sisters and brother, brother in law Jeffery Cottle of Lisbon and Partner Sandy Winter of Lewiston, brother in law Gregg Cottle and partner Ginnie Caron of Auburn, ex son in law Bobby Morin and partner Jessie Daniels of West Gardiner, son in law Peter MacGregor of Wilton and his two children Fiona and Elliott, Nana Robin and Papa Duane Millet of Oxford, Aunt Madalyn Ring, Aunt Lori Ring.
