He was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 24, 1950 the son of the late Harrison and Carolyn (Yenco) Foster and had been a resident of this community most of his life.
He was employed at TD Bank as a Records Retention Officer for many years until his retirement.
George enjoyed gardening and maintaining his property on The Ridge. He also enjoyed reading, making puzzles and traveling around Maine to unusual restaurants and points of interest.
He is survived by his sister Nancy A. Foster-Wolf of Lisbon Falls; his Sister-in-law Ellen Foster of Lisbon Falls; and his niece Sara Daigle and her husband Brian and their daughter Kayla Daigle all of Lisbon Falls.
He was predeceased by his brother Benjamin Foster who died on August 20, 2024.
