Auburn- Frances M. Murphy 80, passed away peacefully, Tuesday August 24th at CMMC. She was born in Waterville, April 4, 1930 to Gertrude and Sidney Johnson. She graduated from Waterville High School class of 1947.
After High School she attended CMG School of Nursing, graduating in 1950. Barbara was a registered nurse at CMG hospital and a private duty nurse in the Lewiston/Auburn area for 30 years and was a member of the CMG (CMMC) Alumni Association. She married the love of her life, F. Michael Murphy, February 23, 1952. Together they built a summer home on Thompson Lake and spent their summers on their beloved lake and travelled to Bradenton, Florida where they spent their winters. She loved gardening, travelling, scrabble and playing cribbage. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, F. Michael Murphy. Her Son Michael D. Murphy and companion Ro-Jean Straw of Eliot. His daughter Erin Murphy Heise and husband John Heise of Sarasota, Florida. Her daughter Kathleen Murphy and companion Joseph Laroche of Lewiston. Her daughters Kayla Racioppi and husband Nick Racioppi of Auburn, and daughter Hannah Rheaume of Lewiston, and two great grandchildren Mackenzie and Hunter Heise of Sarasota Florida. She was predeceased by her brother Lawrence Johnson of Providence R.I. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her family and friends.

Funeral Notice: Murphy, Frances M. 8/24/10. Visitation Fortin Group / Lewiston Fri. 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church Sat. 9 AM. Committal to follow at Mt.
