I am always with you. Have courage, be brave, and love life.
Chantal F. Peterson 51, of Lewiston Maine, passed away on Friday October 16th, 2020 at home surrounded in love.
On April 7th, 1969 Chantal was born to Gerald and Jacqueline Deschenes of Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada. Chantal was a graduate of Edward Little Highschool in Auburn, Maine and later attended the University of Maine at Farmington. She was the proud owner of The Growing Child Daycare before later pursuing additional education in the field of Social and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Southern Maine, LAC.
Chantal was honest, kind, smart, compassionate, clever, gracious, witty, generous, thankful and loving. Her smile was bigger than any room she entered; her laugh was contagious and full of joy. She always loved big – with her entire heart and soul. Chantal loved to spend time listening to music, cooking, reading, hiking, gardening, dancing, and of course watching Walker Texas Ranger; though nothing compared to the time she cherished with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Her biggest joy in life was being a mother; she was proud to be a mother and grandmother, often reminding others how amazing her children and grandchildren are.
Chantal is survived by her three children; daughter Jaci Peterson and wife Michelle Pillsbury, daughter Danielle Peterson, son Nik Peterson; her two grandchildren Camdyn Baroudi and Paislee Spitzer; sisters Geraldine Deschenes, and Sylvie Fuller; nephews, Michael Deschenes and family, Evan Therriault and family, and Robert Badgery; and many close friends. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Canada and in Connecticut.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 1st, 2020 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Fortin Group Funeral Home located on Horton St. in Lewiston, Maine. A virtual streaming option will also be provided for those unable to attend or travel.
