Stair William Briggs Stair William "Bill" Briggs died on November 27, 2013. He was 85. Born and raised in Kensington Philadelphia. He was employed with Barker and Williams and American Electronics Lab as an instrument repairman. Bill was a member of Emilie United Methodist Church, Levittown, where he was also a trustee, Sunday School Teacher, part time maintenance man and where he attended the Men's Prayer Breakfast on Saturday mornings. He was active in Political Aid for Peter Kostmayer. Bill was a proud World War II veteran of the US Army where he served in Austria in the 42 nd Infantry Rainbow Division, Job, Communications and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6495. He was also a member of To Live Again. While living in Florida, Bill volunteered at various Senior Centers and Assisted Living Facility. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, F. Marie Briggs, his grandson, Stair William Briggs-Gerlach, his twin sister, Margaret Jarvis, sister, June I. Briggs and infant twin brothers. Bill is survived by his daughters, Diane Bach (Rob), June Morris (Keith), Linda Schrader (Karen), Stacy Gerlach (Rich) and his grandchildren, Jonathan Bach (Marie), Christopher Bach (Nathalie), Aaron Bach (Christine), Susan Gorman (Patrick), Karin Morris, Jason Schrader (Holly), Ryan Schrader (Maria), Sean Schrader (Crystal), Tiffany Schrader (Derek), Ashley Moore (Brandon), Richard Gerlach, Jr., Anthony Gerlach and 11 great grandchildren. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of 2 new great granchildren in 2014. Bill will also be sadly missed by his 2 nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a girlfriend of over 30 years, Edna Pirmann. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 9:00 until 10:00 at United Emilie Methodist Church, 7300 New Falls Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, due to extreme allergies, memorial contributions to the Billy Gerlach Scholarship Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 91 Oxford Valley Road, Yardley, PA 19067, would be appreciated.
