Shirley McDonald of Levittown died on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Lower Bucks Hospital. She was 69. Born in Trenton, Mrs. McDonald has been a resident of Levittown since 1985. She enjoyed playing bingo but she mostly loved the times spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sisters. Mrs. McDonald was the beloved wife of the late Earl S. McDonald. She was the loving mother of Shirley L. Whitney (Gary) of Leesburg, FL, Denise Shultz (David) of West Lawn, PA, Ann Marie Petit-Clair (Mike) of Allentown, NJ and Patricia Matthews (William) of Richboro, PA. She was the devoted grandmother of Jennifer, Earl, Richard, Brendan and Sydney. She will also be missed by 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; her sisters Edna, Rose, Carol, Pearl and Georgeann and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton.
