Samantha Lee Burke

Samantha "Sami" Lee Burke died suddenly on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was 25. Born in Bristol, the daughter of Vanya A. (Tyrrell) and Thomas Carman Burke, Sami has been a life long resident of Levittown. She enjoyed spending her summers at Penn Warner Lake and being a rider on the back of her father's motorcycle. Sami loved any opportunity to be with her family, friends and pets, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her beautiful children. Beloved daughter of Thomas and Vanya, Sami is the cherished mother of Nevaeh Sky, Damien and Nathan. Sami is the loving sister of Thomas Burke, Jr. (Christina) and Vanya Burke-Wood (Eugene). She is the dear granddaughter of John Byars and Vanya Tyrrell, Joel and Karen Tyrrell, Sr., and Martin and Shirley Burke, Jr. Sami is also survived by her fiancé', Steven Kirk and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and pets. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m.. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Samantha Burke Memorial Fund, c/o First National Bank of Newtown, 500 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030.
