Robert W. Murphy, Jr. Robert W. Murphy, Jr. died, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his home in Levittown. He was 75. Born in Lower Merion, Montgomery County, Mr. Murphy has been a resident of Levittown for the past 37 years. He loved cars and hot rods, and enjoyed drag racing at the former Langhorne Speedway and Atco Speedway. Mr. Murphy also loved and enjoyed all types of sports. He was truly a "Man's Man"! Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Kravitz. Beloved husband of 47 years to Audrey (Hoerning), Mr. Murphy is the loving father of Ryan (Danae) of Macungie, PA and Richard (Lisa) of Richmond, VA. He is the devoted grandfather of Carter Robert, Nolan, Alexandra, Sean, Brendan and Jordan. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm. Interment will be held privately.
