Richard G. Smith "Rick" died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA. He was 56. Born in Bristol, the son of Janette (Stroka) and Arthur Smith, Rick has been a life time resident of Bristol Township. He was a 1977 graduate of the former Woodrow Wilson High School. He spent the past 14 years as a dedicated truck driver. Prior to that, he was a security manager at Boscov's in Plymouth Meeting. Rick had a passion for car racing, especially NASCAR and was a huge Jeff Gordon fan. He also enjoyed gardening and going antique shopping with his wife. Bleoved husband of 33 years to Kathy T. (Serembus), he was the loving father of Michael R. and Katie Smith of Levittown and the devoted grandfather of Isaiah. He was the brother of Joseph (Kim) of Yardley and Ted Smith of Levittown. Rick will also be sadly missed by his father-in-law, Kenneth Serembus (Maryann); sister-in-law, Patty Asterito (Rich); brother-in-law, Kenny Serembus (Karen); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Scranta and his mother-in-law, Patricia Serembus. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
