Richard Charles Palmer, Sr. Richard Charles Palmer, Sr. died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 61. Born in Philadelphia, he had resided in Levittown for 32 years. He was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington, where he also assisted with bingo for many years. Richard was past president of Levittown Continental Little League serving in that position in 89, 90 and 91. He was a member of the former UAW Local #929. An avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf even though he was not good at any of those sports. He had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful man who would always put others before him and was always so willing to give of himself. His family was his world, especially his grandchildren. Beloved husband of 37 years to Althea (Puketza), Richard was the loving father of Richard C., II (Stacey), Jason A. (Beth), Michelle E. Palmer-Sabo (Vince Gallo) and Steven J. (Wendy) and the devoted grandfather of Ricky, Katie, Corrine, Cailyn, Jason, Jr., Savanah, Gabrielle, Shane, Natalia, Keara, Haylee and Steven, II. He was the brother of Connie, Anna, Joe, Kathy, Doris and the late William and the brother-in-law of Alec and Andrew Puketza and Andrea Linaberry. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, Fallsington. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name to Temple University Hospital Heart Center, 3401 N.
