Oscar Griffiths-DeLeon

Oscar was born in Bocas del Toro Province of Panama to David Hezikiah Griffiths and Elmina Ida DeLeon. At a young age his family moved to Costa Rica where he was raised. In 1972, he moved to the United states to live with his grandmother and uncle and to study the English language. Shorty thereafter he met Paulette, the woman that would become his wife. They were married in 1973.

He was employed as a Fork Lift Operator with Simon-Schuster in Bristol Boro and Scotland Rack in Bensalem for several years.

An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Oscar also enjoyed dancing. As a practical jokester, he enjoyed scaring people at any given opportunity.

Beloved husband of 46 years to Paulette C. (Miller), Oscar is the loving father of Autumn Howarth (Daniel), David Griffiths, Michal Griffiths (Elliot Hollander) and Paul Griffiths.

He is the devoted grandfather of Jordan R., Heaven-Leigh G. (Michael Rivera), Christian A., Joshua M., Daniel S., Zachary J., Isaiah A., Janessa L, Alyssa M., Alexia P., Ashton A. and the late Gabriel; and proud great grandfather of Leigha, David, Jaelyn, Nevaeh and Nyla.

Oscar will also be sadly missed by his sister, Cornelia "Connie" Anderson-Bell; several nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Klaya Bryant.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 19, 2019, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Oscar's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
