Michael Levitsky On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, surrounded by the love of his family, Michael Levitsky, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, godfather, friend and mentor, started his journey to his "Garden of everlasting life". He was 83. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret (Koval); his three children, Michael Levitsky (Lori); Joan Schisler; and Robert Levitsky (Theresa); his six grandchildren, Laura Schisler, Colleen Schisler, Patrick Schisler, Madison Levitsky, Rebecca Levitsky, Danielle Levitsky; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Coming from Cressona, PA, Michael worked at US Steel Fairless Plant for 34 years; was a member of the Knights of Columbus (3rd Degree); a Life member of the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad (over 30 years of service) and a US Army veteran. As we sadly say goodbye, we know greeting Michael at the gates of his "Garden" will be his deceased father, Ambrose Levitsky; his mother, Julia (Evanchoe); his siblings, Mary Kripas, John Levitsky, George Levitsky, Steve Levitsky, a brother that passed before his birth, Michael Levitsky; son-in-law, Louis Schisler; and mother-in-law, Mary Koval. Anxiously waiting for the "directions" he so freely gave all. Michael's family extends their sincere gratitude to the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and Aria Health Torresdale. The care Michael received was given with extreme compassion and dignity. We thank them for all the support and care provided. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Michael's life on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown.
