Michael J. Friel, Jr.

Michael J. Friel, Jr. Michael J. Friel, Jr. died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 36. Born in Trenton, Michael has been a lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County. He was a 1997 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School and Bucks County Technical School. Michael was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Fairless Hills. He was employed as a Facilities Clerk with the State of New Jersey in the Public Safety Division, OHSP for 12 years. Michael loved wrestling, music and enjoyed going to concerts. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He will be remembered as a caring and active man who just enjoyed life. Michael is the beloved son of Patricia (Jones) and Michael J. Friel, Sr.; brother of Kevin Friel (Janel) of Levittown; and uncle of Savannah and Avery Lynn Friel. He will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and on Saturday, from 8:00 until 9:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Levittown followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael's name may be made to Moss Rehabilitation Center, 60 Township Line Road, Elkins Park, PA.
