Michael D. Black Michael D. Black died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was 56. Born in Philadelphia, the son of Eleanor M. (Wolfe) Black and the late Carl A. Black, he was a long time resident of Levittown, prior to moving to the Pocono area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. Michael was the father of Ryan (Alyssa) and Garret Black; the grandfather of Hailey Marie; the brother of Carl (Andrea), Linda Ream (Mark), Steve (Gretchen) Denise White (Steve), Eric (Christina), Bethann Devoll (Craig) and Candice Kieper (Jason). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, his springer spaniel, Nikita. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Delaware Valley Chapter, 2004 Sproul Road, Suite 208, Broomall, PA 19008.
