Michael Banko died on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Manor Care in Yardley. He was 92 . Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a long time resident of Lower Makefield prior to moving to Fairless Hills in 2005. Mr. Banko was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and was a member of the Greek Catholic Union and Carpenters Union Local 1823. He served proudly in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Banko enjoyed bowling, softball and going to the race track. He also liked taking trips to Florida. Beloved son of the late Mary (Timko) and John Banko, he is the loving brother of Cyril (Rita) and the late John R. Banko, Mary T. Banko and Margaret Smith. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 9:00 until 10:30 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown with a Panachida service at 10:30 a.m. His funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Saint Ignatius Cemetery, Yardley.
