Mary A. Brent

Mary A. Brent Mary A. Brent died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Lower Bucks Hospital, Bristol. She was 89. Born and raised in Lebanon, PA and formerly of Jersey City, NJ and Stroudsburg, PA, she was a Middletown Township resident for many years prior to moving to Bristol Township 7 years ago. Mrs. Brent was a devoted Christian and a member of Queen of the Universe Parish where she formerly served as an Eucharistic Minister. She dedicated her time as a volunteer for Mary's Cupboard and was a Third Order Franciscan for twenty years. Beloved wife of the late John W. and mother of the late Barbara Miles, Mrs. Brent is survived by her son, John M. (Kathleen) of Levittown, five daughters; Mary Ann Wallat of Pittsburgh, Susan Quinn of Langhorne, Rosemary Smithfield (Rick) of San Diego, CA, Michelle Lanzi (James) of Holland and Catherine Hansen of Bristol, eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 8:00 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056 would be appreciated by the family.
